I picked up a bulk pack of liyu max blades on aliexpress for pennies. Here is my honest take based on my daily "one-pass and discard" single-edge routine.
Sharpness & efficiency: this is a very mild blade. On dense, coarse patches of hair, it requires a slow, deliberate stroke. It lacks the raw laser-sharp power needed for heavy beards.
Smoothness & comfort: this is where it shines. On sparse areas and bare skin, it is incredibly forgiving. Paired with a slick gel, it glides comfortably with zero razor burn, redness, or weepers.
Longevity & value: the edge degrades quickly, but if you do a "one-and-done" daily disposal, the short lifespan doesn't matter at all.
Verdict (3.5/5): not a giant-slayer, but an ultra-affordable, risk-free daily driver perfect for quick, gentle one-pass shaves. Absolute bang-for-your-buck.
