I'm not sure if it's fully charged when you receive it but it took down my hair and i have very very thick hair. I was very impressed and recommend it to tired of guards coming off in mid stroke and don't worry about clippers getting hot, about a dozen passes and i was done!! No time get warm

I got these to do my son's hair and i can't even use them for that because they are so incredibly loud and it freaks him out and plus they just don't cut very well anyways. so yeah i think they're good for maybe small jobs but not anything big like a haircut
